Recipe – Turmeric Ginger Shots

Ingredients

  • 4 oz (about 4”) fresh turmeric root
  • 4 oz (about 4”) fresh ginger root
  • 2 lemons
  • 7 teaspoons of honey
  • Dash of pepper
  • Coconut or Avocado oil – optional – (1/4 teaspoon per serving) *

Directions

  1. Use juicer to juice the turmeric, ginger and lemon.
  2. Pour the juice into 7 small jars (reuse spice jars)
  3. Add 1 teaspoon of honey to each jar
  4. Add a dash of pepper to each jar
  5. If desired add 1/4 teaspoon coconut or avocado oil to each jar*
  6. Keep refrigerated and drink 1 jar per day

NOTES

*The coconut oil will solidify in the refrigerator. Also, I don’t really like to drink it with the avocado oil in it. You may want to have this when you have something else that does have a little fat in it (a nut or two!) to help the turmeric absorb in your system.
